My friends consider me a techie… so, when they have a tech question they ask me. The NUMBER 1 question I get asked is… How do I get my pictures off my phone?
There is a SUPER QUICK way to sync all the photos on your phone with your PC, Mac, iPad, or to the internet. And… IT’S FREE!
Google Photos takes the best of a number of Google photo apps and programs and combines them into one online application, Google Photos.
I stumble across this cool app when I was trying to find an easy way of getting my photos from my phone to this website. Everything I tried was clunky, expensive, or didn’t work.
Just download the Google Photos app to your phone, choose which photos you would like to sync and it automatically syncs your photos to your Google account. (I’m assuming just about everyone on the planet has a Google account… if you don’t, you will need to sign up for one.)
The iPhone saves photos as a funky “heic” format. Once they are in Google Photos, just open the photo, right click on it, and save it to your computer. It should default to the standard .jpg format.
